BASF launches Melyra fungicide and Inveris Gold insecticide to boost farm productivity in India

B910化工消息:7 Yue 5 Ri Xiao Xi, BASF has introduced two new crop protection products in the Indian market: Melyra fungicide and Inveris Gold insecticide. The launches represent BASF continued commitment to the Indian agricultural chemicals market, one of the largest in the Asia-Pacific region. Melyra is positioned as a next-generation fungicide designed to provide broad-spectrum protection against major fungal diseases affecting key Indian crops including rice, wheat, and pulses. The product features advanced active ingredients that offer both preventive and curative action against fungal pathogens. Inveris Gold is a new insecticide formulation targeting major sucking and chewing pests that cause significant yield losses in Indian agriculture. The product is designed to address growing pest resistance issues that have reduced the effectiveness of older insecticide chemistry. India is one of the world largest markets for crop protection chemicals, driven by its vast agricultural sector and diverse cropping patterns. The country crop protection market is valued at approximately $5 billion annually and continues to grow as farmers seek solutions to combat evolving pest and disease challenges. BASF agricultural solutions division has been expanding its product portfolio in India through a combination of new product launches and local manufacturing investments. The company operates research and development facilities in India focused on developing solutions tailored to local agronomic conditions. The launch of Melyra and Inveris Gold comes at a time when Indian agriculture is facing increasing pressure from climate change, pest resistance, and the need for sustainable farming practices.
