Evonik Starts Construction on €80 Million Biotechnology Expansion Project in Slovakia
Evonik has broken ground on a biotechnology expansion project at its Fermas site in Slovenská Ľupča, Slovakia, with a total investment of approximately €80 million. The project will add advanced downstream fermentation technology to enhance contract manufacturing capabilities for pharmaceutical raw materials, create about 50 jobs, and is expected to be completed in early 2028.
