Doosan to Invest 700 Million USD to Expand AI Chip Substrate Material CCL Capacity in South Korea and China
Doosan announced an investment of 968.4 billion won (approximately 700 million USD) to expand high-end copper-clad laminate (CCL) capacity in South Korea and China, meeting NVIDIA-class AI chip substrate demand driven by the AI data center boom. Of this, about 420 billion won will be used to expand CCL production lines for optical modules in South Korea, with the remainder invested in a new factory in Changshu, China, with production ramping up from 2028.
